The Crownfall shop

The shelf.

Everything Crownfall intends to sell, in one place, before it sells any of it. There is no checkout behind this page and nothing on it can be bought yet — but you can see exactly what is coming and what it does.

The catalogue

Gold

Crownfall's only currency, and the only thing on this page that costs real money. Your season pays gold out, level milestones grant it, and you can also buy it here. Buying gold buys you a faster start, not a better one — every coin in this shop can also be won.

Prices are the ones we intend to open with and are not final until the shop does. Everything in the other three tabs is bought with gold inside the game, and those gold prices have not been set — so no tile shows one.

Commander

Things that attach to you and stay attached: your name, where your capital sits, and how much you can have under construction at once.

  • Commander rename emblem

    Commander rename

    Your first change is free

Every commander can change their name once without paying anything. This buys the ones after that. There is a cooldown between changes either way, so a name cannot be used as a disguise.

  • Relocation charter emblem

    Relocation charter

    Move your capital

Picks your capital up and sets it down somewhere else in Asterra. For a commander who started next to an empire they cannot fight, this is the way out that is not quitting.

  • VIP second build queue slot emblem

    VIP

    A second build queue slot

Opens one more slot in your building queue: build two things at once instead of one. It does not build them faster, make them cheaper or make them stronger — it lets you have two orders running.

How long VIP lasts has not been decided yet. It will say so here, plainly, before anyone can buy it.

Worlds

Liveries for the worlds you hold. A livery is paint and nothing else — it does not change a world's output, its defence, what it can build, or how it fights. It is there so your empire looks like yours. Twenty-one of them, and you own each one once: a livery is not stock and there is nothing to buy twice.

Landmarks can never take a livery. Asterra's landmark worlds are known by their own faces — that is how you recognise one across the map, and how everyone else does too. No livery will ever be sold that covers one, because a landmark you cannot identify at a glance is worse for every commander who did not buy it.

Seasons

Worlds for the turning of the year: Halloween, winter, New Year, Lunar New Year and spring. Each carries its own structure around the planet — a crown, a crystal, a fan of blades, a lantern cage, opening petals — and, like every livery, it changes how a world looks and nothing else. When each one comes to the shelf has not been decided.

    Not for sale

    Granted, never bought

Firstlight is not stock. It is a legacy grant — for those who were here before the frontier opened — and it will never be sold, at any price, to anyone. Exactly who qualifies has not been decided, and this page will say so plainly when it has.

Time

Speed-ups act on an order you have already given. They do not make a ship stronger, a build cheaper or a fight go your way — they only shorten the wait.

  • Build speed-up emblem

The line

What this shop will never sell.

Buying gold buys time and appearance, never advantage — and every coin in this shop can also be won. If you spend nothing, you lose nothing you could have won. You wait longer, and your worlds are plainer. That is the only difference the shop is allowed to make.
